Daily Devotion Holy Monday April 14

Holy Monday, April 14, 2014 – Psalm 121; Lamentation 1:1-2, 6-12; 2 Corinthians 1:1-7 and Mark 11:12-25

Mark 11:12-25 – 25″Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”

Here is a spiritual concept to help set the tone for this Holy Week; forgive as you have been forgiven.

When we pray the Lord’s prayer we say; “Forgive us our debts/trespasses/sins as we forgive our debtors/those who trespass against us/sin again us” we are calling ourselves to forgive as we have been forgiven.

On this Holy Monday may we seek to forgive others as we have been forgiven.

Psalm 121 – 1  I lift up my eyes to the hills —
from where will my help come?
2   My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.

My help comes from God who sent His Son who died that my sins might be forgiven and I be given new life. O Lord may I forgive others as I have been forgiven. Amen.
