Thursday, November 14, 2013 – Psalm 105; Nehemiah 6:1-19; Revelation 19:1-10 and Matthew 16:1-12

Psalm 105 – O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
    make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    tell of all his wonderful works.
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his presence continually.
Remember the wonderful works he has done,
    his miracles, and the judgments he has uttered,

Here’s a fun spiritual exercise that can be done in an hour or so or in spurts if you need to.

Make a timeline showing the things God has done for and with you during your lifetime. I did this once cutting out footprints and then hung them on a string so I could see all the great things God had done from the time of my birth, until that present moment in time. It was very revealing. When finished I gave thanks to God for all God had done and then expressed my faith in the fact that God would continue doing great things for all time.

God has been with you on the mountain top experiences of your life. God has also been with you in the deep valleys of darkness. Today, focus upon the mountain top experiences you have had with God. Note how God has been with you and is with you today.

You can end your time of doing this devotion by joining your voice with the multitude mentioned in Revelation.

Revelation 19:1-10 – 6Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
7   Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready;

Friends God has been with us, God is with us and God will be with us till the end of time as we know it and then we along with all God’s people will rejoice in how God reigns for eternity.

O God, I give thanks for how you have guided me and your people to many mountain top experiences with you. You are the God of all life. May I praise you when times are good and trust in you when I find myself in one of the valleys of life. Hallelujah! To you, O God. Amen.
