Tuesday, July 30, 2013 – Psalm 16; 2 Samuel 3:6-21; Acts 16:6-15 and Mark 6:30-46

Psalm 16 –I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” ….

 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
I have a goodly heritage. …

11 You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, summed up the whole of God’s laws unto us saying; “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength and you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

I think it’s also helpful to remember the Ten Commandments given unto Moses and passed on to God’s people. You can find them in Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5:4-21. The first four deal with our relations and respect of God and the last six deal with our relations and respect for others.

These boundary lines are given to help us in life and in our relationship with God and others.

May we seek to develop a healthy relationship with God and others. In doing so, I believe we’ll find ourselves in pleasant places and on the path to a goodly (Godly) heritage.

O God; guide my feet, my heart, my mind and my soul that I might abide in you and be guided in all my ways through your word and your love. Amen.
