Daily Lenten Devotion Monday, March 11th

Monday, March 11, 2013 – Psalm 119:73-80; Jeremiah 16:(1-9) 10-21; Romans 7:1-12 and John 6:1-15

Psalm 119:73-80 – 73  Your hands have made and fashioned me;
give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. …

Today, what I ‘d like us to do is simply take the time to sense how God has made us and fashioned us.

It is God who takes all our earthly experiences and uses them to help make us and fashion us. He takes the good and makes it better. He takes the bad things we do or that happens to us and uses them to help make us better, stronger. He takes all our moments and all our days, all our experiences and molds them and fashions them into us. Each of us is unique, no two of us are identical.

For a few minutes sense how God has made you and fashioned you.

God loves you. God sent his Son to give you the new breath of life. God is with you even now.

O God, thanks for making me – me. Thanks for continuing to fashion me in your holy image, for continuing to make me. There are still lots of rough edges, continue your work of fashioning me. Teach me your ways, O Lord, and give me understanding and guide me along your holy way of life. Amen.
