Daily Lenten Devotion Thursday, March 7th

Thursday, March 7, 2013 – Psalm 126; Jeremiah 10:11-24; Romans 5:12-21 and John 8:21-32

Romans 5:12-21 – 17If, because of the one man’s trespass, death exercised dominion through that one, much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness exercise dominion in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

John 8:21-32 – 31Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Want true freedom? What to be freed from all that enslaves you? If you answer yes to those two questions, then simply believe that Jesus is the one came to give us this gift. It’s really pretty simple – trust and believe in Jesus, God’s Son who came to set us free.

O God, thanks for sending your Son. May we fully trust in Him who came that we might be free of all our sin and free to love and serve you. Amen.

Psalm 126 – 3   The LORD has done great things for us,
and we rejoiced.
